One Crazy Good Time: Part I

About ten days ago I got back from an epic vacation. Well, two vacations actually. Or does it technically count as three? It all started with me flying to Paris—not to visit my bestie, but to meet my family to start what we call FamJam 2025. Two family members were immediately ill in addition to being jetlagged, but we muddled along through general tranportation strikes (no one strikes quite like the French, it's so very organized) despite that. We ate fabulous food, saw monuments and museums galore, took a boat ride on the Seine, attended vespers at Notre Dame, and walked way more steps than I think my brother ever thought he could. We also may have eaten our weight in cheese.

Fondue night!

Paris is always a good idea

Next we headed to Santorini, so technically that was the end of vacation #1, and now I was hosting. I was stupidly excited to introduce my family to where I live. Six nights later, they had definitely seen the best the island has to offer, if I do say so myself. We hit up my favourite restaurants, naturally starting with Kosta's place, fed ALL the local cats, and took in the incredible views. I had gotten the lurgy the others had earlier, so unfortunately the hiking and karaoke were off the schedule. However, wine tasting, Latin Dance Night, and seeing the ruins of Akrotiri were still fair game. We could easily have stayed longer, but FamJam 2025 had a date with a ferry, and so vacation #2 began.... (to be continued...)
