This year on Santorini, I have finally been able to start growing some plants. Of course, in the past, I've only grown plants or a garden in Canada, so it feels like I'm putting outdoor plants outside,and I have no idea what I'm doing. The growing conditions are so different that I find the whole process a bit nervewracking; it's relatively humid here compared to super dry Edmonton. I probably over water. I've already managed to kill my thyme.
But oh my the visit to the greenhouse here was a delight! I bought succulents in hanging baskets, a snake plant, and a prickly lime (identified later thanks to my new plant identification app). But my absolute favourite of the bunch is a drop dead gorgeous coleus, from which I immediately took inspiration for my next piece of jewelry. Fingers crossed I can keep that one alive!
