When I got to Bali, I had just come off a flight that I had to get up at 2:30am to catch. I hadn't researched taxi prices, and knew I was being massively price gouged, but I was just too tired to care (for the record, I WAS being price gouged). I finally got to my hostel, exhausted, hungry, and feeling broke. At this point I was not really prepared to be my usual adventurous gal with food.  Luckily for me, the menu revealed one of the cheapest items to be bruschetta. It might have been the best bruschetta ever. Also for the record....I ate fish and chips for dinner that night.
