I've had a bag of smalti roti for a very long time. These are the "off cuts" of smalti production, like the edges of the smalti pizza, the pieces with wonky bubbles, and other cast offs. They are a necessary evil in the production of smalti, and are sold off very cheaply, like smalti trash. With a little marble, and some gold, I think they have a renewed life, no?
