Living by the Sea
45mm by 15mm - Mosaic gold in sterling silver
$275 USD
I grew up in a land locked province in Canada. With the exception of occasional holidays out West, the only shoreline I experienced was at one of the myriad lakes near my home, with varying degrees of swimability. While not an avid swimmer, I have always loved going to the swimming pool or lake to play in the water, be it diving off the side of the pool, horsing around with friends, or frisbee in the shallows.
Once I started getting to the sea, I was hooked. The endless expanse of blue water, the salt smell, the waves lapping the coast. Young Margo hoped that life would somehow turn out that she would live by the sea or ocean someday.
So now I DO live by the sea. A number of years in, and it hasn't gotten old. I admit I don't end up going in the water as much as one might think, and certainly there are plenty of folks living here who get in the water daily, but I'm more of a once or twice a week gal. But despite that, just looking at the sea everyday is a delight. Hearing waves lap on the shore. It's as good as I imagined.
With that said, you should come for a visit next year—my Santorini workshop dates for 2026 have been finalized! I am once again offering two small-group (max 8) workshops in my covered outdoor workspace. There are two topics on offer:
- Smalti/Shag Rug Mosaic: June 7-13, 2026
- Mosaic Jewelry: Sept 6-12, 2026
And NEW for 2026, I have some early bird pricing if you register before the end of the year; my website has all the details.
