"Sea Hatchlings" -SOLD

4" by 7" - Ammolite fossil, sea urchin spines, rock, Mexican smalti, marble, mosaic gold

This one was a bit of a slog. The main bits came really easily, but the rest of it became a difficult decision. Actually ripped off some areas before I settled on this background. I've really been trying to figure out the laying pattern of the Spilimbergo school of mosaic, and each time I try, I think I get a little closer.
